Crazy deals! The lunch special is 2 rolls, edamame or shumai, soup and salad for only $11!! Or 3 rolls for $14!! This is like pre-pandemic prices and the food was fresh.

Every time I order Sushi for the family we order from this place. They have the fresh ingredients for your palettes. Everything else is just delicious. We party with shusi galore they give you free stuff food. ( when you order enough). They won't disappoint you.

Food has been consistent for years. A friend lives a block away and I always look forward to eating here when I am visiting. It's been around for many years, perhaps decades and it's nice to know they still have amazing service and food. Thank you! Hope this place lasts forever!

I love their vegetarian rolls. Not every sushi place cares about having plant-based options, and Sushi Yu does. The vegetable Naruto roll is particularly wonderful; also fond of the peanut avo roll and the inari avo roll. Particularly nice that some of the vegetarian rolls have protein. We cook almost all our meals, but on the infrequent occasions when we order in, this has become a reliable and satisfying option. They're also quite friendly on the phone. So glad this place is in the neighborhood.

Underrated neighborhood sushi spot. Generous and well-priced and delicious lunch special, creative rolls you don't see enough around here (the inari avocado is excellent), and a friendly staff. Dining in, you can usually always get a table. Love this place.

Excellent lunch choice. Right at a corner of prospect park. Nice service. Relaxing vibe. Great sushi lunch specials!

They used to have seating but I am not sure if they still do after COVID and at this point I usually order to go. In the summer this place is the perfect grab n go spot to enjoy a nice night picnic in the park for Celebrate Brooklyn. Everytime I have gone the sushi has been very good quality and the piece are a good size. They are also generous with ginger and wasabi.

Feast in Summer One of the wonders of the reopened City is the vibrant scene of restaurants new and seasoned. Sushi Yu next to Prospect Park in Brooklyn is one of them. The delicacy of the sashimi depends not only on the in house preparation, but also on the coordination of international shipping from places such as Asia. Chef Tony has good news for his clients. The restaurant is reopened with flair. Master Chefs Andy and Tony set the tone for the cuisine Japanese. Additionally, new chefs have joined in. Their consistent effort has brought the summer feast to a peak. I for one, have been impressed again and again by the beauty and taste of what is in front of me. "Should I devour it?" is always a challenging question to myself. Recently, the sumptuous portions of salmon, tuna, slender long shrimp sat in the garden of red and yellow veggies on the porcelain plate. It was accentuated by a sake bottle with a surprise green leaf. The imaginative hand of the Chef with glasses had enlivened the pieces of vermilion, burgundy and translucent cream in the freshly sculpted Chirashi Sushi.
